The Regional Prosecutor and multiple State's Attorney's Offices have an opening for a full-time regional victim witness coordinator.
Provide information on the judicial system, criminal justice process, legal terminology, victimís rights and court procedures to victims of crime. Assist victims in the preparation of victim impact statements and crime victimís compensation forms. Contact victims and witnesses by telephone and letter to assist in resolving case-relating problems and to provide case status information. Help victims prepare restitution statements.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma some college is preferred but not required. Applicants must be able to efficiently use a computer. Applicants must also demonstrate responsible behavior, good judgment and communication skills. Applicants must be self-motivating and willing to travel. Applicants must exhibit the ability to work in a supportive and professional manner with victims, other attorneys, support staff, and client agencies. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in working with victims of crime.
The pay will start at $30,000/year plus full benefits.
